Bacterial growth in the old urine specimens make false positive sugar in urine. 
It is important that the urine sample is fresh when tested so try to take it to the laboratory within two hours or put it in the fridge (not the freezer) until you can deliver. This makes the testing 100% accurate.

What would cause blood in urine in a child and a teenager?
Bloody urine starts from simple injury due to hitting their organs until cancers and severe illness.

Urine report: Red blood cells few to moderate 1-10/HPF, Pus 1-5 cells/HPF4-inflammation of the urethra, the tube that carries urine out of the body “known as urethritis”, which is often caused by an infection that is transmitted by sexual contact Chlamydia 
Urine analysis report: visible blood clots can be seen or RBCs count of 20-30/HPF.5-prostate gland enlargement: After the middle age in men the benign prostate enlargement (BPH) is usual, in which prostate gland above the urethra and below the bladder hinder the passage of urine. 
Urine results: RBCs 6-10/hpf or RBCs 30-70/hpf and red cells count in urine depend on severity.6-Inflammation of Prostate by infection called prostatitis: 
In urine test: RBCs greater than 8-15/hpf or RBC over 100 in severe prostatitis plus Pus cells 50-70/hpf.6-prostate cancer - usually only observed in men over the age of 50 and usually develops very slowly but can often be cured if detected and treated early7-bladder cancer - again, the reason is usually only when the people who are over the age of 508-kidney cancer - usually affects adults aged over 50 years, and are often detected by imaging scan, and can be cured if detected early9- hereditary nephritis or so called alport syndrome show blood in urine and protein in urine with very strong evidence through signs and symptoms.

Causes of false-negative reagent strip reactions for blood: 
Traditionally, ascorbic acid has been associated with false negative blood results in urine, both Multistix and Chemstrip have modified their reagent strips to reduce this interference to very high levels (25 mg/dL) of ascorbic 
acid. Multistix uses a peroxide that is less subject to reduction by ascorbic acid, and Chemstrip overlays the reagent pad with an iodate-impregnated mesh that oxidizes the ascorbic acid prior to its reaching the reaction pad.Also False-negative reactions can be resulted from:
<ul>
<li>When urine with a high specific gravity contains crenated red blood cells that do not lyse when they come in contact with the reagent pad.</li>
<li>Decreased reactivity may also be seen when formalin is used as a preservative.</li>
<li>When the hypertension medication, captopril,</li>
<li>High concentrations of nitrite (greater than 10 mg/dL) are present.</li>
<li>If red blood cells settle to the bottom of the specimen container, and failure to mix the specimen prior to testing causes a falsely decreased reading, the experienced technologist can avoid this issue by well mixing and centrifuging the urine sample prior to examination.</li>
</ul>
 Do I need to see a specialist?

<li>Have visible blood in the urine without pain, and tests showed the absence of inflammation</li>

Small amount of blood in your urine isn’t always a matter for concern but visible urinary bleeding indicates a serious disorder. Blood in urine is a result of other abnormalities or diseases, not a disease in itself.  Blood in urine come from different situations for all ages,

Let’s start to explain male hematuria step by step. 
Where the blood in urine of male come from? 
The cause of blood in urine can originate in the kidneys, bladder or urethra. 
Unlike normal women which get menses, the normal healthy man should not see any blood in his urine at any age 
What do you see in male urine analysis test? 
By the way there are two kinds of blood found in urine. 
Gross hematuria which is the blood that you can see by your eyes, and 
Urinary blood that's can’t be seen without a microscope which is called microscopic hematuria and reported in urine test as the number of red blood cells per high power field (HPF), 
In mild hematuria: 
Slight change in color or no change in color of the urine as well as red blood cells appear under microscopic finding section of your urine report. 
In gross hematuria, 
The urine appears pinkish, red, or smoky brown, and there may be small blood clots. 
Microscopic <a href="http://www.bloodtestsresults.com/cbc-normal-values-for-adult-male.html">RBCs </a>exist in variable count from 20 per HPF and up to over count fields.

What can blood in male urine be?

Blood in urine caused by exercise should goes away on its own during 48 hours.</li>
<li>You’re on some common medications as: some medications could provoke blood in the urine such as Antibiotics (such as Rifampin), analgesics (Aspirin), and anticoagulants (Warfarin, Phenytoin, and Quinine) which commonly known to cause blood in urine.</li>

How could women identify hematuria or blood in urine in case of female abnormal period cycle.
Usual Complain:
Urine color is deeper than the usual yellow color.
No blood in urine seen by naked eye. 
Dry normally smell vagina.
Yellow brownish vaginal discharge or generally darker than usual.
Irregular period which can be happens 3 or more times a year. 
No history of bladder infection and confirmed by tests. 
No history of oral sexual action or pregnancy.
Blood tests results:
All medical checkup tests show no problem and report a healthy woman.
Urine blood test show hematuria, many epithelial cells and no pus cells or mucus are found. 
Urine test results show normal urine odor,  normal PH, normal specific gravity, and adequate urine volume. 
What does blood in urine female means if no pregnancy or period?
Many causes of such criteria:
1-Spotting between periods is the first suggestion, periods which are so irregular, usually it's showing up in female's pee, slight change in urine color and a few to many blood cells appear in random urine test.
I would like to mention that stressing yourself about irregular period will cause an irregular period.
2-Bacterial Vaginosis (BV): Many blood cells show up in woman urine in absence of period menses which may be a bladder infection or UTI which come with puss cells in urine and turbid appearance as well as feeling like there is something laying on your bladder and you feel like you have to pee. but this not suggested because urine analysis has normal white cells and normal appearance.
3-Yeast infections cause stinky discharge so that it's ommited because the main complain is no smell dry darker vaginal discharge which seen usually when woman on period
4-Oral sex causes STD
It's still a suggestion although not all Sexual diseases cause vaginal blood like whom infected by herpes or warts. other STDs may show a little or no symptoms.
5-Pregnancy or early miscarriage: some women experience spotting while pregnancy but with normal medical checkup there is no worry, while others with unstable conception have a blood spots in urine as an early alarm of sudden abortion.
6-Exerting a potential through sportive exercises or hard work can cause darker urine due to what medically called "march haemoglobinuria" which is a benign finding and may be mistaken.
Most women probably think there is nothing serious if they aren't in any pain or discomfort or anything like that. especially when blood show up in urine once but other tests came all normal.
